We open today’s show discussing a couple insightful emails from listeners who know much more about our show topics than we do (no sarcasm intended!). We also analyze the WSL going into what looks to be a phenomenal forecast at Margaret River and coming off of two lackluster events. We’re thrilled to announce the addition of Puerto Escondido to the Big Wave World Tour and the “Badcast” to the world of surf commentary. We close out the show with our Must-See Moments and David provides this week’s Duke and Kook. Enjoy!
RECAP FROM LAST SHOW
Grant “Twiggy” Baker won the Titans of Maverick’s event last year, not Pete Mel. Pete did, however, win 2013.
BELLS BEACH FINAL
Style must be addressed! It is the opinion of this humble critic that Fanning surfed infinitely better than Adriano. While I acknowledge Adriano is surfing to the judges criteria, one cannot ignore that Mick’s surfing is better, more precise, and I’d argue much more appealing. The fact that these heat scores are tied illustrates the limitations of the current judging criteria.
MARGARET RIVER EVENT
The swell forecast is very good. Kelly’s sitting in 12th position. What will become of the Brazilian Storm? Will Jay Davies spoil them all? Do not miss it!
THE BWWT GOES TO PUERTO ESCONDIDO
Dungeons is gone, but Puerto is a GO!

THE BOARDROOM SHOW
David’s been helping Roger Hinds prepare for The Ultimate Craftsman by filming the process of the build. Here are his first two (of four) videos.
MUST-SEE MOMENT
David’s Pick: Kelly’s candid conversation with Ross Williams.
Scott’s: Anthony Tashnick by Kyle Buthman
DUKE
David’s Duke: Jay Davies for winning the trials event at Margaret River and earning a wildcard spot in the main event. Look at this bloke!!! He’s on fire!
Scott’s Duke: Anthony Tashnick (see Must-See Moment’s above, and yes, Bassy phoned it in yet again!)
KOOK
WSL for clearing copying Red Bull’s 21 Days series with their new Priority series. I’m glad WSL is producing human-interest style content, but this is a blatant copy of Red Bull’s excellent series. Here’s the evidence.
