We’re proud to launch our first live show, TALK STORY with Rusty and Taylor Knox. Special guests Jojo Roper and other Rusty team riders will be joining us as well. We’ll have slideshows and video clip illuminating the stories of life on the Tour and building an international iconic surf brand. We’ll be giving away merch to the crowd and even a surfboard to one lucky attendee.

In our live podcast event, “Talk Story with Rusty and Taylor Knox” will be a nostalgia soaked evening of one of the most iconic eras in surf history. Hosted by David Scales (Surf Splendor podcast), Rusty and Knox will share stories from life on the Tour while building an iconic multimillion dollar brand. The evening will include slideshows, surf clips, a surfboard giveaway and will be emcee’d by Chas Smith (author, BeachGrit.com). JoJo Roper and other Rusty team riders will also be joining the chat.
David Scales is the host/founder of Surf Splendor. Over a decade and 500 episodes, the show remains the world’s most downloaded surf podcast, and chronicles surf history and culture direct from the luminaries creating it.
Surfboard shaper and surfwear icon Rusty Preisendorfer is a San Diego native who rose to fame after shaping revolutionary shortboards for Peter Townend, Shaun Tomson, and Mark Occhilupo. His “R dot” logo became internationally recognizable and by the mid 90s, half of the top 16 surfers in the world were riding Rusty’s boards. Today professional surfers, from the Tour and Social Media fame, still chose Rusty as their trusted craft.
Iconic power surfer from Carlsbad, Taylor Knox was a mainstay on the Championship Tour for nearly two decades. Ranked 4th in 2001 and the winner of the ’98 K2 Big Wave Challenge, Knox is still recognized as being one of the most influential power surfers of all time.
