Surfing World | Issue 420

$25.00

Surfing World turns 60. The world’s oldest, deepest surfing magazine celebrates the milestone by tracking six decades of Australian surfing through its pages. From the discovery of Angourie in its first issue to the ‘Roadsong’ era of the ‘80s to the contemporary pulse of today, the 60th anniversary issue is a visual, high concept journey into the soul of Australian surf. And at 260 pages, it’s the biggest surf mag ever published in this country.

Surfing World is being published independently by Jon Frank and Sean Doherty, two surf mag lifers. They have form. Frank is the Godfather of high-art surf photography. Seano is on a million-word surf story bender. They both hold a deep respect for surfing. Surfing World is a passion project for them. They’ve inherited a sense of duty. A surfing elder summed it up to them this way: “Make something beautiful that really says something.”
