Mick Fanning is equally well-known for his 3 world titles as he is for overcoming adversity. He lost a brother at age 16, recovered from a potentially career ending injury at 23, and at the age of 34, survived a shark attack and lost another brother on the morning of the finals where the fate of his 4th world title would be decided. Four months after the final competitive event of his career, we catch up with Mick to hear about life off tour, wisdom that hindsight provides, his upcoming Cape Fear event, The Search, and what’s occupying his time post-tour. Enjoy!
