View from a blue moon – bought it, watched it, ahhhh let down.

No doubt JJ has a killer forehand hack and tube rides unbelievable either way. But the movie didn’t really show me what I was wanting to see. A whole wave, put together and ripped apart seamlessly from takeoff to kick out. Most of the footage was one sick turn or an awesome barrel.

58 mins and 20 mins of filler – I really wanted to see lots more of John surfing, the stuff about the places he visits and the drone footage of scenery, while quite spectacular, didn’t really add to the narrative.

If this is the best surf movie of the year, I’m calling the surf movie dead.

PS one other thing that was noticeable – Felipe out aired him in that little beachie – and JJ was unbelievable in waves with punch.

    David,
Can you tell Scott that the Severn Bore is in the UK, as you look at the country it’s the Estuary between Wales and the South West peninsula that funnels into the river Severn. It’s pronounced like the number 7 but with a bit more ‘rrrr’ in the last bit ( sev.urn)
When are we going to hear some content from your European trip ? Did you interview anybody in the UK ?
    Cheers
    Tim
