I enjoy your show but if you want to keep your female fans you need to self censor your sexist attitudes. If I said that I put Kelly Slator and Italo Ferierra on my fantasy team because they have smoking hot bods and they look so handsome in their pictures and I put Maxime Husencot because French accents are so sexy, you would think I was a complete ass. Read between the lines. Join the 21 century. As public figures who benefit from your roles, you have a responsibility to the sport of surfing and to discout 50% of the atheletes and potential fans is unwise at best. I was offended.

I’m a fan of the podcast but you guys are making proper fools of yourselves attempting to defend your sexist remarks, especially by using this ass, “Vicky’s son”, as a vote of confidence. Vicky leaves a well thought out, reasoned remark from the point of view of a female surfer that listens to your podcast (aren’t you guys always belly-aching about getting enough people to listen that you can make some money?) and you dismiss her thoughts by referencing this dipshit, whom you proudly claim to represent the majority view of the podcast listeners? “Vicky’s son” is obviously on the same wavelength as Scott Bass with regards to his feelings about women’s pro surfing and he’s right–it seems you are just being honest. But being honestly misogynist is still misogyny. Kudos Vicky, here is at least one listener whose got your back!

      Vicky,
If you think that the “sport” of surfing doesn’t objectify women your way off base. Does that offend you as well? What’s so wrong with saying a women is attractive or not attractive? Do you think, for example, Alana Blanchard is doing wrong by revealing herself for money? What if I don’t find her attractive, is that bad? Hardly…

I know you guys enjoy interesting documentaries. Ask Charlotte to tell you about the coming soon video about the early days of surfing on the Gulf Coast (the 60’s & 70’s). There is a clip available on you tube. It’s titled “Broken Waves”.

Just wanted to give you guys props for your very entertaining podcasts. It makes my long commute to and from work bearable. I am not one of your core listeners, being from the Gulf Coast of Texas, but I have embraced the joy of surfing lifestyle since the early 60’s. Keep up the good work. I have a long-time friend and fellow surfer coming out to help with the live auction this weekend and would appreciate you giving her a shout out and a warm California welcome. Her name is Charlotte (Charlie) Moore. I think she would make your all glam girls surf team. If you want to learn how to do the Texas Swing (dance) she’s also extremely talented. Good balance from all of her surfing experience. Thanks again for the great podcast.
